## Pricing by volume

Included volumes are test results per month on both billing periods; an annual plan includes twelve times its monthly allowance per year. Past the included volume, extra test results bill at the tier's own base rate per 1,000, and overage can be capped or disabled with spend controls (see the FAQ).

## FAQs

### What is a test result?

A “test result” is a failed or passed test that was recorded to the platform. Retries of the same test are considered a single test result.

### What is considered a user?

A user is any [team member](https://docs.currents.dev/dashboard/billing/plans-and-pricing#team-members) with the “Member” role or above. Guest accounts are free and do not count towards the user limit. Guest accounts have read-only access to runs and reports.

### What testing frameworks are supported?

Although Currents is a Playwright-focused tool, we also support other frameworks.

- **Playwright**: v1.22.2+
- **Jest**: v29.5.0+
- **JUnit**: Vitest, WebdriverIO, Postman, NodeJS Test Runner
- **Cypress**: v6.7.0 to v12.17.4

You can use multiple frameworks simultaneously in Currents.

### What types of data does Currents have access to?

We only collect data strictly limited to enabling reporting of the test results or administrative purposes.

### How does the free trial work?

The free trial is available for 14 days. No credit card required.

It is activated as soon as you sign up. You get access to all features, and up to 10k test results.

### How can I track my usage?

Use the [Billing & Usage](https://docs.currents.dev/dashboard/billing/usage-and-spend-control) section to set up usage warnings. Additionally, Currents will send automated emails when you start incurring Extra Usage fees.

Our Customer Success team will reach out to your organization admins if you consistently exceed your plan limits or incur significant charges, with a recommendation to update your plan.

### What would happen if I exceed the limits?

You will be charged an additional fee for the extra recorded tests. The exact fee depends on your plan and the actual usage.

For example, if your plan is 10K tests per month and you recorded 11.5K tests, you will be charged an additional $0.0049 per additional test, which in this case would be $7.35 (1500 extra tests × $0.0049).

You can configure whether going over the plan limit is allowed by enabling spend controls. If you disable it, the tests will stop being reported to the platform until your next billing cycle and you will incur no additional charges.

### Are discounts available?

Yes, all of our plans have an embedded volume discount: the more you use, the lower the price per unit.

We also offer discounts for customers who choose to commit to annual or multi-year plans.
